Duties & Resonsibilities: Reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for the material control function covering production planning, buyer/planner, master scheduling and shipping. Manage Dales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process as well as plan and direct the activities of production planning, including requirements planning, inventory control, make or buy, control of vital ship loading issues, and assurance of meeting shipment targets.

Work with Manufacturing/Operations Manager regarding production planning and scheduling function, capacity forecasting and development of new product/program planning and scheduling. Analyze demand forecasts, inventory levels and production capacity to determine short-range schedules and long-range critical capacity limitations. Coordinate activities with purchasing functions in obtaining material, equipment and services at competitive prices and satisfactory quality levels. Direct material handling activities to include outside processing, transportation, and shipping. Supervise the activities of materials research and systems, including departmental systems procedures, inventory analysis, performance analysis, standardization and long-range planning. Verify and ensure ISO 9001 certification is maintained in the planning and scheduling area.

Key focus is on understanding product mix delivery issues, SIOP processes, maintaining customer schedules, maintaining level load as part of the shop floor control system, reducing inventory, and directing the production planning and buyer/planner personnel toward these goals/objectives so that execution is a part of their everyday effort. Review, assess and provide input on the following: Departmental budgets, recommend purchase of capital equipment, analyze and review manpower needs; maintain awareness of current developments in the materials business environment and incorporate positive measurable change on an as-needed basis.

This position is responsible for the planning, development and execution of all engineering for facility, material handling optimization and design. Additionally, the position is responsible for the direction and management of corporate staff and decentralized teams that develop and implement all company driven initiatives including Capital and Network Strategy projects in a high volume mechanized, multi-location distribution and logistics operation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilities - Supervise all functions pertaining to the DC facilities maintenance, inclusive of preventive maintenance programs, repairs to the building, property and all material handling equipment.
